The Cavender Auto Family understands that before a company can do well, it must also do good! We are proud to support our community. Through conversation, relationship building, and constant feedback, we are able to accommodate our customers’ needs and wants for the perfect vehicle. This also carries into our involvement in the community. We are proud to host and participate in events to benefit charities and organizations close to our hearts such as United Way, City Year, Girls Inc., Junior Achievement and many more.

United Way has been a great way for the Cavender Auto Family to support the communities where we live and work. Each year, United Way makes its way to our dealerships' showroom floors and showcases those in need and provides a simple way to donate. With the growth of our organization across Texas and into Oklahoma, Cavender Auto Family’s United Way Campaign reach is wide and impacts thousands of families in many ways.

Over 190,000 military personnel are employed in our community, and it's hard not to show our appreciation of its branches and the veterans who have served. The Cavender Auto Family honors and thanks them for the sacrifices they've made, and continue to make, for our freedom.

As a sponsor for the All About Cars program through Junior Achievement of South Texas, high school students are introduced to the essential costs related to buying and operating their first car. Also, each year volunteers from Cavender Dealerships participate in playground builds for inner city schools and public libraries. Since 1996, Rick Cavender has led the Kingdom for Kids program to complete new playgrounds. Hundreds of Volunteers join in every year to build a playground in just one day.

The holidays are special for the Cavender Auto Family. Each year, management gives thanks for the commitment, high standards and caring hearts of its team members by giving away a turkey to every employee. The Cavender Auto Family also gathers around several tables a week before Thanksgiving to share a meal together and give thanks for their blessings, successes, and of course one another. Many of our dealerships participate in the Salvation Army Angel Tree project, donating gifts to hundreds of children to help make the holidays special for families that need a little help.
